Dang it! I'm trying to work on Sunrise, Sunset but I can't remember anything that's going on!!! I'm going to have to reread the entire thing! WHY DIDN'T I KEEP PLOT NOTES????

Le Sigh

The muse is dead. At the very least, she is in a coma. Sunrise, Sunset suffers greatly. I'm practically dying here! On the bright side, original works are looking up and are looking perky, but I'm rather upset about the lack of Sunrise, Sunset update-age. I have absolutely no clue how to work the situation that happened in the last chapter (SSp21). I know how the fic ends and what happens and everything else, but for some reason I can't get through this particular situation. I've never had writer's block before!!! I have about two paragraphs done. Two. What the hell?

Okay, enough with the whining. Y'all don't want to hear about my issues. Though if you have any ideas about what the Konoha-crew's reactions should be, HELP! Tell me these ideas immediately and don't hold back. In other news, I'm off to Ithaca, NY on the fifth of March to visit one of my sisters. There are three of them, after all, so... Anyway, I'm feeling crappy all 'round. I can no longer chew due to the spacers from my recent orthodontist appointment. "Mild discomfort" my ass. I've learned how to crochet-- it's extremely easy-- and am having problems finding time to work on my Japanese. In addition, I have absolutely no desire to learn the Psychology and the English Comp class is a load of crap. I should have tested out of it, but wasn't told I could until after the class had started and the period to change classes was gone.

So. Now that I have whined... again... against my will, I swear... feel free to help me with the Sunrise, Sunset thing in any way, shape, or form. I'm desperate.

After the Fall

Sunrise, Sunset Rant (p2)

Note: Do Not Read Beneath the Cut Unless You've Read Part Twelve of Sunrise, Sunset. Click if you haven't. I've also rewritten a bit of part one, but that isn't required reading. ^ . ~

Okay, so to prepare for my newest chapter (SSp12) I had to watch episodes 128-130 of the anime. They had more Itachi in them and help me with the reasonings behind him being so clan-killy. I think I said this in the notes before SSp12, but his story seemed very off to me. Either he's a very good actor or he lied about something. I do think that he actually killed his clan, but I don't know... something more was going on there. It was told from Sasuke's viewpoint, after all, and Sasuke was very young when it happened. It's going to be interesting to try to write it right based on what I think I learned-- even canon-wise, it definitely isn't all that it seems. Itachi's explanation never sat well with me anyway.

Another thing that I learned about Itachi was that when he was younger, he wasn't quite so quiet, restrained. That made one of the scenes in SSp12 possible.

After the Fall

Sunrise, Sunset Rant

I think that I've finally got both my timeline and my plotline down for Sunrise, Sunset. I need to do a couple of checks for the beginning and I might change a few tiny little details to make it more consistent with the actual Naruto-verse storyline, but other than that I'm totally good to go. And I now officially feel like a beach blonde, a feeling that I never wanted to feel. Note to self: although you may enjoy saying "totally" this is not a wise thing to do.

Anyway, so SS picks up sometime after Naruto learns his wind jutsu but before Asuma dies and Kakuzu and Hidan attack. This means post time-skip, when Naruto is nearly sixteen. Then the timeline diverges and things change, obviously, because Naruto goes off with Akatsuki. Then I follow the manga timeline pretty closely with everything else, trying to layer it to make it seem as if it's all happening at the same time (like I think that it does in the manga).

As for the plot... well, let's just say I have some suspicions about the Leader. As well as that, I'm working on my novel while I'm writing this, which is highly diplomatic since it deals with royalty and international realtions in a fantasy setting. This means for Sunrise, Sunset that I'm playing around with politics and it's leaking over. In other words, be prepared for a few twists and turns. Politically, emotionally, and plot-wise as well. I love NaruSasu, but since this is an ItaNaru I have to deal with the pairing that I see as canon. Both Naruto and Sasuke have changed a lot and yet still remained the same. Because of this I need to deal with the leftover emotions both as teammates and whatever they could have become at the same time that I plot the ItaNaru relationship (which is going to be completely equal, by the way.) I will probably not write full-out sex, but I won't just cut off in most parts, either. It'll be complicated, but there you go. Eventually, the relationship will appear. Two more chapters, I think.

And yes, I have a reason why Naruto is stated as more powerful (or at least equal to) Itachi. Kakashi says in the newest parts of the manga that Naruto is more powerful than he is. Kakashi is second only to the Sannin in Konoha. One can argue that Kakashi is even more powerful than Itachi, if Itachi didn’t have the Sharingan, as Kakashi graduated at an even younger age than the “prodigy” Uchiha. Kakashi graduated at five and became a chunin at six. Itachi graduated at age seven and became a chunin at ten. Therefore, Naruto is incredibly good.
