Aurora

I should feel productive, but I don't.

Now those who know me and have been reading this journal for a while will know that I like to make lists. This one is entirely for me, so feel free to completely ignore it, but some people might find it interesting. This is just a list of the various things that I've got in progress, complete with resource lists of things that I've been using as inspiration/information/etc. This is comprehensive, which means that I'm not actually working on all of it at the same time, but it exists anyway.

Trust me, this is too long not to cut... )

FRUIT PORN

[info]elanid did it! Not related to Tygati's post at all; I just wanted inspiration! Not edited yet, so...

Wereyorkies: All Bark and No Bite

Yes, I did the Wereyorkies. I kid you not. It's all [info]aggybird's fault. Blame her for it. Anybody who catches the Doctor Who reference gets a cookie.

Come Play With Me

More Progress!

I have achieved further progress, with no snags currently in sight.  I have officially passed the 20,000 words mark, thank everything bright and good (and quite a few things that aren't).

Today's progress (so far): 20,555/42,658. A total of 2,897 in two days after an entire month of no work!

And a small snippet, bearing in mind that nothing is edited yet:

Website

My website's feedback form finally works, so a big hurrah and YAY!!! is required. Another yay is required for another semester of all A's and transferring in Fall 2009-- so I have to get my butt in gear and apply to (drumroll please) Cornell, Ithaca, Hamilton, and Elmira. And on that note, I hate application fees, but anyway.

In honor of the feedback form, I advertise to you the drabble I wrote a little while back, fondly titled:

The Pineapple Drabble

Like this or anything else on the website? No worries, for the feedback form finally works! ^ . ~

NaNoWriMo -- Again

I am so far behind on the NaNoWriMo I could die. Why do professors give you a Thanksgiving break? It's just extra study time. Maybe so they aren't tempted to add even more on? But, anyway. I offer to you chapter one, because it and chapter two are the only ones edited out of the seven-ish so far written-- I'm only on about 17,000 words... Enjoy the link while it lasts; I'll probably take it down in a week or so.

Falling is easy.

Inspired by this picture, as linked to by [info]tygati. This is a very different style than my usual, almost of an experiment, but it was what I got from the picture. I was trying for an almost desperate tone and it made it interesting to write. It feels like there's something more of this, but I'm not sure... This probably is not a final edition; I still need to run a fine-toothed comb through it. The title was inspired by the song "Falling" by Staind. Comment with any thoughts!

Summary: All machines are created for a purpose. The more purposes that they are given, the better, but when one is damaged beyond repair, what is there left for a machine that can no longer fulfill its purpose? Very slight slash.
