The Android Project

The main fic of my Android Project (so far untitled) just hit seven chapters and just over 20,000 words. Applause is required.

I still have about 4x this amount left before it's done.

I'm working on it, at least! The entire project has a couple of short stories so far, one of which needs to be revamped, and the longer story, as of yet untitled. I wanted to do a Whedon-esque setting (ala Firefly), but twist it around a futuristic Earth and change it up, throw in some governmental issues concerning the ethics of androids and cyborgs, a war and some rather discontent people, and complete it all with a few literary!ambitions and techniques. So far, fun! Especially since the running soundtrack in my head as I write is to NIN's Year Zero, and I'm getting to look up all kinds of weirdo hacker and sci fi stuff.

Sorry to say that I haven't seen Firefly, but I can still imagine!
Hacker stuff - that reminds me, do you know of the Stig Larsson books? this (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Girl_with_the_Dragon_Tattoo) is the first one. The film is pretty awesome. The girl in the title is a hacker.
Anyway, it sounds like a fun project!
